Frequently Asked Questions
When will I be notified if my work was accepted?
Expect to hear back from us within one month. After that, please send us a email querying about the work's status.
When can I expect to see my work published?
Fragments publishes quarterly: pieces are due on March 1, June 1, September 1, and December 1. Magazines are out by the end of the month.
If my work is rejected, can I submit a revised version for the next quarter?
Yes, you definitely can! Follow the same instructions listed here, but please title the email SUBMIT REV - YourName" (example: SUBMIT REV - JohnJohnson).
How many submissions do you accept per issue?
It will depend on the volume and quality of our submissions.
Does my artwork have to be grey-scaled?
Not at all! If you'd prefer your work to be in black-and-white, though, go ahead.
Will I receive pay if I submit a piece?
Unfortunately, we do not have the funds to allow that. Even if your work is selected for our magazine, we simply are unable to pay you.
Can I send Fragments a file through Dropbox or any other 'middle-man'?
We only accept work attached as separate files through a single email. We will accept Microsoft or Google docs, but submissions by any other means will not be considered.
